A review of Story Coaching by a student and her mother This week we announced a new 3-month track of Story Coaching! Holly, a One Year Adventure Novel student, and her mother, Angie, kindly agreed to share their thoughts on the pilot program we ran this summer, so you could get a feel for what Story Coaching is like. Hurry over to the Story Coaching page and apply—there are only 10 spots this fall!
Kyle de Waal, Guest Contributor The deadline to enter our annual Student Novel Contest is August 15, 2015—in 3 days! If you've been holding back, afraid to submit your novel, Kyle challenges you to think about the contest in a different and fun way.
By Daniel Schwabauer Every summer we host a writing conference for One Year Adventure Novel (OYAN) students. We call it the Summer Workshop, and it is my favorite week of the year.
Introducing Bria Bria Wheeler joined the One Year Adventure Novel (OYAN) team in early December. We asked her questions—some serious, some whimsical—and here are her replies.
Daniel Schwabauer Daniel Schwabauer ("Mr. S." to many of you) recorded an audio presentation of one of his favorite short stories, "Mountain Man," a Breckenridge Elkins story by Robert E. Howard. The story, read by Daniel, features his very own genuine acting voice. This may, or may not, be a plus. We hope you enjoy your gift as much as he enjoyed creating it for you.
