Your Chance to Make Headlines!

Our generous benefactress, Madge Witherspoon, has graciously sponsored an end-of-year competition to showcase the most illustrious work produced by this year’s reporters-in training. It’s time to polish off your favorite Byline assignments and prepare for publication!

Each student may submit up to two long pieces (300–800 words) and up to two short pieces (under 300 words). Entries over 800 words will not be accepted.

Each piece will be uploaded separately to the submission form. Students may submit anywhere from one to four pieces, as long as no more than two pieces fall in either the “long” or “short” categories.

Submission deadline is June 5, 2018
at 11:59 p.m. Central time.
