Many in the home-school community know him as the developer and beloved teacher of \u00a0The One Year Adventure Novel<\/a>\u2014<\/em>a highly-praised creative writing curriculum for high school<\/strong> students.<\/p>\n

His desire to help younger students cultivate a love for the craft of writing, coupled with the requests of parents that he develop something for the middle school age range, led to the creation of the Cover Story<\/em> curriculum.<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

His professional work includes novels, stage plays, radio scripts, short stories, newspaper columns, comic books, non-fiction ghost writing, and scripting.<\/p>\n

He is also editor of Crosswind Comics, which has developed educational materials for youth-at-risk, prison inmates, and others. He created the\u00a0Amazing True Life Stories<\/em>\u00a0series as well as\u00a0The Amazing Gospel<\/em>\u00a0graphic novel, which has been translated into several languages and is used around the world.<\/p>\n

Daniel has received numerous writing awards, including the 2005 Ben Franklin Award for\u00a0Best New Voice in Children\u2019s Literature\u00a0for his novel,\u00a0Runt the Brave<\/a><\/em>, and the 2007\u00a0Best Books Award\u00a0for his novel,\u00a0Runt the Hunted<\/a><\/em>. The Curse of the Seer<\/a><\/em>, book three in the Legends of Tira-Nor series, released in 2015. He has a Masters in creative writing from the University of Kansas and a Doctorate in Theology in semiotics from Kairos University.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″ css=”.vc_custom_1433311958175{background-color: #ffffff !important;}”][vc_single_image image=”89″ alignment=”left” style=”vc_box_shadow”][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text]\n
